Castle Leslie Wedding Photography

Danielle & Brian

Sitting just on the border in Co Monaghan, the little village of Glaslough has a massive surprise. One of Irelands finest wedding venues Castle Leslie is a wedding photographers dream. Sitting in about a 1,000 acres of rolling country side this venue has everything. The gardens are truly stunning, then you need to take in the lake and boathouse. It’s just breath taking. But the jewel in the crown is the castle itself. Built many centuries ago, this castle has been maintained to the highest of standards but it still retains it’s history and grandeur. Being a wedding photographer can have its advantages as it’s not every day you go to work surrounded by the finer things in life.

Danielle & Brian really wanted  to have a marquee wedding so what better way to start than turning to google and typing “finest marquee wedding venue Ireland”. Up pops Castle Leslie and the rest is obvious.

The day started with Brian and the groomsmen in the lodge, as they decided to stay there the night before. I arrived a good two hours before the ceremony time and captured the gents their getting ready. A few more relaxed photos in the lodge garden and I was on my way to the ladies. They where getting ready in the village cottages. These cottages are about 500 meters from the castle in the heart of the village. The décor in these cottages is very much in keeping with the castle itself, they are just beautiful.

The ceremony was held in the cathedral about 5km away in the town of Monahan. Perfect match with the castle when you think of it. The weather was very kind to us, a calm day with nice warm breeze.

Danielle and Brian where super relaxed and this came across in their photography. The bridal party were great fun with smiles all around. I stayed for the first few dances, a very long day as I was on the road from Kildare at 8am. However I would gladly do it all over again. Thanks so much Danielle and Brian for making me a part of your wedding day, a day I will never forget!
